Just six months after its mournful goodbye, Ruby’s Diner might be headed back to the Huntington Beach Pier – although with a much smaller presence than it had in the past.

On Tuesday, Sept. 7, the Huntington Beach City Council will get the chance to choose from three finalists vying for the space currently occupied by a longtime bait shop, Let’s Go Fishing. And the winner appears to be a done deal: recently formed Ruby’s Hospitality Group, which garnered the recommendation of the city’s Economic Development office.
