Huntington State Beach Junior Lifeguards
A FOUR Week Ocean Safety & Interpretation Program
For Boys & Girls Ages 9 to 16
There are two seperate four week sessions available for enrollment per season.
Program hours are Monday through Friday, 9am to 3pm.
The aim of our program is to provide a safe place where participants can be instructed in a variety of skills pertaining to the lifeguarding profession and the aquatic environment. Instructors will introduce participants to basic CPR skills, basic First Aid, basic rescue techniques, and lifeguarding procedures. We also include an interpretive component provides information about the ocean habitats and local ecosystems including field trips.
HSBJGLA
The Huntington State Beach Junior Lifeguard Association (HSBJLA) purpose is to support the Junior Lifeguard programs at both Huntington State Beach and Bolsa Chica State Beach. The HSBJLA operates under the Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code and offers annual $20 membership dues for Junior Lifeguards and seeks donations from the community and business.

Our Huntington State Beach Location
The JG staging area is next to Tower 10 just North of Magnolia Headquarters for Huntington State Beach lifeguard operations. Enter at Magnolia Street and Pacific Coast Highway then go North toward the Huntington Beach Pier to Tower 10.
